Né des cendres de Gush X à l’orée des 90’s, GANG a évolué dans un registre oscillant entre thrash et hardcore et sortira plusieurs démos, albums et vidéos pendant cette période : « 1993 », « Unknown but surely Evil »,...

Le line up devenant instable et incomplet, le groupe, soudé autour de ses mentors Philty (basse) et Steve (guitare), a ensuite cessé de tourner pour se concentrer sur des sorties d'albums studio.
C’est à cette occasion que sortiront le concept album « Piece of War » et « Dead or Alive » qui verra alors le groupe amorcer un virage musical.

Pour les 20 ans du groupe en 2010, GANG célèbre son retour live sur ses terres.
Fort d'un line up renouvelé avec l’arrivée de Biggy (lead guitar), Bill (chant) et Malo (drums), tous deux ex-Spasmophilius,  le groupe sort « V », une combinaison de mélodies vicieuses et de riffs puissants, une nouvelle agression sonore entre pur heavy metal et thrash dans sa forme originelle. Une simplicité redoutable pour une efficacité maximale !

Face à la demande croissante GANG entame une première tournée en 2010-2011 qui les mènera jusqu’au Danemark.

En 2012, GANG persiste et signe, affirmant et assumant de plus en plus fort ses influences. Pour faire patienter les fans et démarrer sa nouvelle tournée, GANG rend hommage aux glorieux ainés en sortant un EP « HM666% », le 6ème album du groupe qui le voit alors s’emparer notamment de classiques de Saxon, Scorpions, Black Sabbath, Motörhead et autre Mercyful Fate.
La tournée qui s’en suit voit  GANG partager l’affiche avec certaines de ses idoles (Paul Di’Anno, Tokyo Blade, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Blaze Bayley, Rage, Vulcain, ADX, Attentat Rock, Girlschool, Blasphème, Holocaust, Y&T, Adam Bomb…) et avec 
les valeurs montantes du heavy : RAM, Skullfist, M:Pire of Evil (ex-Venom), Nick Hellfort, Tyranex, Koritni,…
Pour clore ce chapitre, GANG sort en 2013 son premier live en CD et DVD « Heavy Metal Road 666% » qui retrace les deux dernières années sur la route.

En parallèle, GANG travaille sur son nouvel album dont la sortie est prévue en 2014.
Une nouvelle tournée est d'ores et déjà sur les rails.
Musicalement parlant,  GANG brandit haut et fort l'étendard d'un heavy Metal mâtiné de thrash. Attaché à la force de ses mélodies, le groupe privilégie également  l’efficacité de ses riffs puissants. Aujourd'hui totalement décomplexé, GANG distille avec rage son heavy et s'apprête à prouver que dans ce registre le gang de la Marne est loin d'avoir abattu toutes ses cartes....

« INJECT THE VENOM »

Prévu début 2014, « Inject the Venom » est le 8ème album du groupe.

Fort de l’expérience acquise avec le précèdent EP et son album live, GANG renoue avec la tradition des enregistrements purement analogiques et met la technologie au service d'un heavy incisif, percutant et aéré.

L’album contient 10 brulots où l’on retrouve toutes les influences du groupe + une reprise d’un puissant groupe anglais avec, pour la première fois, un invité spécial.

Ce à quoi vous pouvez vous attendre avec « Inject The Venom » :
Du plus intense et thrashisant « Primal Reign » qui ouvre l'album au titre mid tempos « All of the Damned » proche d'un Saxon 1ère époque.
Du très Judas Priest « The King Became a God » qui mêle habilement efficacité et ambiances au plus immédiat et inspiré Riot « Chaos for Glory ».
Des titres plus farouchement heavy UK façon Tokyo Blade / Attentat Rock aux sonorités plus thrash et sombres d'un « Edge of Time », sans oublier l’apparition d'un titre totalement instrumental « Midnight ».

10 titres et dix façons d'agencer son heavy teinté de thrash. Mais une seule ambition sur ce disque : des riffs percutants et entrainants, des mélodies fortes qui martèlent le cerveau et l'envie de démontrer que le heavy a encore de belles heures devant lui pourvu qu’il soit animé par la passion.

Totalement intègre, GANG se réinvente autour de ses influences premières, même si celles ci sont évidentes. GANG, à défaut d'être à l’initiative du genre, s’efforce tout au long de cet album de faire parler la foudre et de partager ses convictions aux fans de Metal.

BIOGRAPHY

From the ashes of GUSH X, GANG appears in the 90s. Blending thrash and hardcore the band releases several albums and demos  "1993", "Unknown But Surely Evil",...

Due to line up changes, heads of the band -Philty (bass guitar) and Steve (guitars)- turned it into a more studio project and issued two more albums : The WW1 based concept "Piece of War" and "Dead or Alive". This latest one scheduled what GANG would become in the coming decade.

To celebrate its first 20 years, GANG strikes back on stage on 2010. What should have be a one shot gig turned into a rebirth.
Strenghten by its new line up with Biggy (lead guitars), Bill (vocals) and Malo (drums) - both ex Spasmophilius- GANG's come back based on the release of "V" reveals a perfect combination of intense early thrash riffs upon vicious high pitched melodies.
Highly acclaimed, GANG has been scheduled its first tour since the past ten years.
The Skull's Out Of Tour 2010-2011 bring GANG back on several stages and festivals from France to Denmark.

In 2012, GANG is definitively back. Scheduling its new tour, the band issues its 6th album "HM-666%" a special EP. GANG paid its tribute to the golden years covering Saxon, Scorpions, Black Sabbath, Motörhead and Mercyful Fate' classics.
Assuming totally its heavy metal influences, the "Heavy Metal Road Tour" 2012-2013 showed an intense raging band and allowed GANG to share the stage with its all times idols (Tokyo Blade, Tygers of Pan Tang, Girlschool, Holocaust, Paul Di’Anno, Blaze Bayley, Y&T, Rage, Adam Bomb, Vulcain, ADX, Blaspheme, Attentat Rock, Square, Killers,…) and hot newcomers (RAM, Skull Fist, M:Pire of Evil -ex-Venom-, Nick Hellfort, Tyranex, Koritni,...)

This new tour ended up with the release of the 7th album, "Heavy Metal Road 666" a live album issued on CD and DVD. A testimony of a 2 years come back on stage !

Now GANG works on "Inject The Venom", its 8th album to be out for early 2014.
A new tour is already planned.
Musically speaking GANG claims its heavy metal devotion tainted with early thrash influences.
Based onto strong attractive melodies and powerful guitar riffs, GANG delivers high energy shows and proves that heavy metal is still attractive and hot.

"INJECT THE VENOM"

To be out in 2014, "Inject the Venom", the 8th album of GANG is enriched by previous recording, the Ep "HM-666%" and the live album recently released.

This album will show a step back to analogic 80’s recordings. No trig, copy/paste or pro tools things. Real drums and guitars, no emulation / simulation amp, just real play.  Thus, GANG’s Heavy Metal never sounds as much precise, intense &  true.

The album contains 10 hot new heavy songs where every influences can be heard + one cover from a mighty British band included for the first time a special guest.

What you can expect with "Inject the Venom" is catchy thrash like for "Primal Reign", the debut song or "Edge of Time", some Saxon's mid tempos style like "All of the Damned", epic Judas Priest standard like with "The King Became a God", early Riot based riff like for "Chaos for Glory", all blended with some British touch à la Tokyo Blade. Not to be forgotten the instrumental track "Midnight".
